Authorities Said Pooling Experience Washington. Aug. 9.
Mr. Henry Morgenthau Jr. Secretary of the Treasury, disclosed that the British veterans of the "Flanders pocket" were helping to adapt United States military tanks to modern war developments.
He said that the British had nominated Brigadier-General Pratt as the official negotiator on Anglo-American contract negotiations and had already made important contributions io United States tank design.
Mr. Morgenthau explained that the British were trying to buy tanks in the United States, but as it was unfeasible to build one type of tank for the United States and another for Britain. the British authorities had decided to pool their experience in order to produce standardized types, usable in both countries—
