At the same time, it is expected that bonds issued for the next fiscal year will reach a total of more than 5,000,000,000 yen, of which 1,000,000,000 yen will cover the deficit of the General Account Budget and 4,000,000,000 will go towards Extraordinary Military Expenditures. An examination of extraordinary military expenditures, however, is still going on.
With some bonds for the present fiscal year yet to be issued, saving and economy will be further encouraged and financial control strengthened next year. The Finance Ministry yesterday completed a preliminary trimming of the budget estimates submitted by various Ministries.
Beginning next week, the Finance Ministry will examine. the estimated budgets of the Army and Navy, as well as the estimates of other Ministries, on which a final decision was reserved.—Reuter,
