Ling Foh-ching, a burglar was sentenced to 18 months' imprisonment yesterday by the First Special District Court in connection with the theft of more than $2,000 worth of silverware from the Great Western Road residence of Mr. K. Selby-Walker, Far East Manager of Reuters during the victim's absence.
The thief pawned some of the silver articles but all of them have been recovered by the police. Accused broke into the Walker residence on August 3 after hiding in the garden in the evening for a long time.
