State on the morning of the 17th:—Weak anticyclone over China. Depression over Vladivostock, moving eastward. Low area, almost stationary to the north-east of Mindanao.
Probabilities, 430 p.m. yesterday:—A typhoon near the Vizayas and moving west-north-west or north-westward. Fine to cloudy weather with prevailing winds from the northern onad-rant in China and over the Yellow Sea.
