Amsterdam, Dec. 24.
Reports that M. Josef Stalin has asked for Germany's aid in Finland have reached here from several sources. According to one version received through neutral channels, Moscow demanded four German warships immediately to assist in the blockade of Finland.
After a lengthy conference, the German Naval Command is understood to have refused the demand point blank. Another report says that Russia has asked for senior German officers to be sent, while messages from other neutral sources published in Dutch newspapers reveal dissatisfaction and discontent among the public in Moscow and Leningrad over the Finnish campaign.—Reuter.
