With such a bomb release, military circles here thought, a fleet of aeroplanes might bomb a whole city so that the explosive effects of one bomb would overlap the other. Thus no part of the city would escape the effect of the bomb explosions.

The motor of the plane through an electric current controls the bomb release. A dial tells the pilot how fast the plane is going. He sets another dial so that the bomb release will drop the bombs at spaced intervals in accordance with the speed of the motor. A third dial tells the pilot how many bombs remain in the rack. Once set the bomb release works automatically.—Reuter.
