There were 504 blocks of Duildings under construction during February 272 plans were submitted for ap-Proval and 141 plans approved. Valuation of blocks of buildings for Jassessment purposes made totalled 186, while 5,759 inspections were Jearried out by inspectors, according to the monthly report of the Com-[missioner of Public Works.
General repairs have been carried out at the following buildings which Were damaged during the hostilities:—Yangtszepoo Market, Nieh Chih Kuei Public School for Chinese, Kinchow Road, Primary School for Chinese, Wayside Road.
Work is still in progress at the following buildings ~Gsol Hospital, Gacl—Chinese "Section, Sungpan [Market, Branch Health Office Pingliang Market.
