Press after the bout that it was the "worst fight I made since I won the title."
Godoy started forcing the fight from the first round. He charged with a low crouch and thrust his curly black head toward the Brown Bombers chin. Louis, taken aback by his daring foe, opened strongly, believing that he would polish off his rival or at least crush his bravado. But he did. neither. He only lashed out with desperate uppercuts to win the round.
The second round was even. a> Godoy opened up a powerful offend sive, forcing Louis to become wary.
And in the third round, when everyone thought Louis would turn the savage fighter he is and send Godoy crashing to the canvas, the Chilean shook the Nergo.
Although Louis lashed out with all his power and brought the blood streaming from Godoy's nose and left cheek, Godoy forced the Brown Bomber to ropes and uncorked a barrage of blows that caused the spectators to cheer madly. Loui: took plenty of blows to lose the round.
