The Police dominated the play in the greater portion of the first half but were woefully weak in front of the opposing citadel. The Jewish team broke away occasionally but their advancing movements lacked the finishing touches, Play was generally confined in the mid-field and the first period ended with neither side being able to score a godl.
Things turned out to be very different in the second session. In the sixth minute of this period Willie Ward opened the scoring with a stingy drive which struck the bottom of the upright and then rebounded pulsed by the Police defenders. In a breakaway staged by the Police Sommer was penalized for illegally charging Novgorodoff in the dreaded area and Chooklantzeff converted the 12 yard spot kick for the third point.
