Soon after the centre-kick Chooklantzeff ran away on the wing and delivered a lovely centre which Willie Ward made full use of it to nut his team on a substantial lead of four clear goals, In the middle of the second half Willie Ward netted his third goal. Chooklantzeff centred and the ball was deflected by Donath to Ward who easily located the tarzct.
From then on the game dragged on while a section of the spectators began to leave the field.
