Small Chance of Upset

The possibilities of an outsider—a pony other than Cluniehouse or Hindhead—winning are not entirely out of the question but it is highly impro-table. Cluniehouse ran a magnificent race on Saturday when he made full reparation for his defeat in the LR.C. Champions by winning the Criterions in the most convincing manner, beating a reputable mudder in Rye by the decisive margin of many lengths. Meanwhile. Hindhead may be slightly handicapped if the course had not dried up since yesterday. On a fast and dry course it is a toss up between tim and Cluniehouse but in softish going he is only a second-rater. The most possible outsider is White Willie. who has attained a remarkable height of fitness this season. It would come as no surprise if Mr. "Clunie" should annex the first two places as his second entrant is perhaps second only to his more illustrious stalemate in heavy going. Magic Circle is highly respected but I do not think he is perticulerly dangerous.
