All three wounded Javanese were reported to have no political attachments whatsoever.

Just before the report that a terroristic act had been perpetrated against_a Japanese civilian on S: chuen Road was made to the Shanghai Municinal Police, several state ments that three shots had seen fired at an automobile were made at the Central Station. These reports were discounted, however, when Japanese authorities reverted that a Japanese civilian had been wounded.

Tt was only after he had entered the hospital thet Japanese Police officers arrived with the other two wounded Japanese and obtained the information from there.

Investigations into the terroristic acts were being conducted by the Shanshai Mumicinal Police and the Japanese Gendermarie. D. I. R. Moir and D. I. C. Cooke are in charge of investigations.
