Sr. Suner Condemns "Pluto Democratic Countries"
Mota Del Cuervo, Spain, May 3.
Sr, Ramon Serrano Suner, Spanish Foreign Minister, yesterday condemned "pluto-Democratic nations" and said Spain was pursuing a foreign policy based on its own national interests and the honour due its people.
Speaking to Phalangists, Sr, Suner condemned the "pluto-Democratic nations which denied Spain everything and now are trying to pretend they want to save us."
He declared that only Spain was the master of her destiny and was determined to keep faith with those who died for liberty and grandeur, "Just as on May 2, 1808, Spain did not request to become French, similarly on July 18, 1936—which was the May 2 of our century—Spain did not want to become either Russian or British," said Sr, Suner.
The Foreign Minister was speaking on the anniversary of Spain's uprising against the French during the Napoleonic invasión. He said that political cooperation inside Spain was necessary so that the country, outside, might defend its liberty within the framework of the European order,—United Press,
