The Republican Spanish Embassy here denies that the Republican Premier, Senor Negrin, had left Barcelona in order to visit London as had been asserted by recent press reports, It is pointed out by the Em-bass; that Senor Negrin attended a War Council meeting at Barcelona yesterday and that the diplomatic representative of the Spanish Republican government in London is also at Barcelona at present A spokesman of the Spanish Republican Embassy admitted, however that there might be a possibility of Senor Negrin paying a visit to Paris in the course of the coming week.
