The temperature soared in Shanghai again yesterday, reaching a high of 99.1 degrees at Siccawei and 98 degrees at Holy Trinity Cathedral, downtown. These temperatures compared with the previous highs of 98.6 degrees at Siccawei and 99.5 at Holy Trinity Cathedral, The virtual ab-of wind made the heat felt terday.
Two cases of heat prostration were reported in the International Settlement. Shortly before 1 p.m. a male Chinese was overcome and had to be taken to hospital in a Fire Brigade ambulance, and at 7.10 o'clock similar case was reported and likewise conveyed to hospital.
