The completion of an important "Aspretto, Corsica, alt= way between France and North [Africa was announced in an oficial communique released by the Navy Ministry this evening.
"The protection of French communications with North Africa," the Jcommunique stressed, "necessitates the construction of powerful air and Jnaval bases. Hence, the Navy Ministry Is glad to announce the completion Jof the Aspretio base, the strategical position of which is most favourable."
The communique describes the Inow base as ultra-modern, and capable of sheltering, refuelling. and repairing several squadrons. of ses Jand fand planes—Havas.
