Paris, Nov. 28.

"Lo Matin" reports from London this, morning that the British Prime Minister, Mr. Neville Chamberlain, intends to pay a visit to Rome at the end of January.

The British Prime Minister, the paper says, holds the view that frequent personal consultations between leading statesmen of the European Powers are the best way to bring about a relaxation of the political-tension in Europe.

Mr. Chamberlain would spend a brief vacation on the Riviera and use this occasion to pay a visit to Rome in order to discuss with Il Duce the Spanish question, the Mediterranean problem, and also the question of Franco-Italian relations as the British Government is extremely anxious to bring about an improvement of the relations between France and Italy.

The chief aim of the British Prime Minister's visit would be, however, io examine the possibilities of closer ce-operation between Paris and London and the Rome-Berlin axis.—
