Fire Brigade Report

The total number of calls received during the month was 12i—a record in the history of the Brigade, the previous monthly record being in etcher, 1832, when 106 calls were received.

Tt is interesting to note that on June 12 within. a space of five minutes three calls were received to motor car fires in different parts of the Settlement, two calls being received at identically the same time. {in all three cases the fires were cased by phosphorus being thrown into the cars by chauffeurs on strike at garage. The damage wes slight.
