Soviet Aims at Raising Standard of Work New Regulations to Curb

Those Who Waste Time

Moscow, Dec. 29.

Far-reaching measures aiming at raising the standard of work in all Soviet enterprises were adopted today by the Soviet Council of Peoples' Commissars.

A communique states that the "overwhelming majority of workers the Soviet work continuously.

ere are others who don't work the full hours of a working day, often wasting two or three hours daily. These people make it necessary to change the regulations. The duration of the working day, established by law, must be strictly observed. Offenders will be reprimanded, or dismissed."

Regulations dealing with sickness allowances, holidays and pensions were also published.—Reuter.
