The proposal for compulsory use of bulb horns was opposed in Committee on the ground that accepted Dractice regarded bulb horns" obsolete, that they are not part of the standard equipment of cars, and that owing to the necessity of out-attachment there is the liability of theft, In this connection reference way made to the admission in the Police Report that any type of horn could be objectionable in use, and it {s abuse of the horn that is responsible for nulsanes Tt having been stated that two electric horns formed the standard equipment on many cars, the sug~ gestion was advanced that the connected operation of the two horns: should be prohibited: that two electric horns should be permitted provided each operated independently.
