Thursday's Closing Quotations New York, Feb. 2
Trading in the cotton market was dll and featureless. There was nothing in the news to affect the market either way, whilst the continued uncertainty prevailing over the loan question kept operators to the sidelines. Closing quotations ranged irom 1 point up to4 points down, compared with yesterday's close.
After a lower opening, quotations in the rubber market hardened on covering and some commission house fuying, influenced by the steadiness of London cables. However, little interest was shown, owing to the proximity of tie meeting of the International Rubber Regulation Committee. At the close, prices were unchanged to 4 points up.
The steadiness of Liverpool and Winnipeg advices kept the Chicago wheat market on an even keel. Some Switching from nears to distant was noted, but, on the whole the market was a dull trading affair.
