Win to Re-enter Race for Honours

Shanghai, Sept. 25.

Shanghai Recreation Club, winners of the Lawn Bowls League last year, made fair promise to repeat their victory this season when they overwhelmed the powerful Shanghai Lawn Bowls Club "Blues" by 5-0. In the meantime, the erstwhile leaders! have slumped back into third place with little hope of recovery. By virtue of their fine triumph of 4-1 over the Yangtszepoo Bowling] Club, the Police have now come back into the first division race for honours and they might extend the leading Rees. They rank second, slightly ahead of the "Blues."

In another senior match, the Hongkew Golf Club did well to share points with the S.L.B.C. "Reds," both teams scoring 2% points. The Clube Lusitano had a fairly easy task to subdue the Country Club by 5-0 in the fourth first division encounter.

In view of the fact that the Yangtszepoo Bowling Club took only a 3-2 win from the Police in the second division, the Wayside Club has slipped into second place after the Clube Lusitano, a club) with which the Y.B.C, were tied for the leadership. The third S.L.B.C. team to be defeated yesterday were the junior side who succumbed to the Rees by 1-4."
