French Government issued a statement in reply to Herr Hitler's Danzig speech last night, declaring that the speech sought to justify Der Fuehrer before the German people for dragging them into wai The statement accuses Herr Hitler of lying as well as resorting to the time-worn manoeuvre of trying to split Britain and France.
The British guarantee to Poland, the statement said, was an outgrowth of Germany's failure to keep her word as well as her destruction
