Arabs Reject Partition

Jerusalem, Sept. 15.

The partition of Palestine and the creation of a Jewish state is emphatically rejected by the Arab High Committee in a telegram addressed to the League of Nations yesterday. The telegram moreover demands the recognition of the Arabs' right to enjoy complete independence in their own country, the cessation of the attempts to create a Jewish national home and the prohibition of the Jewish immigration and the sale of land to Jews. The telegram also Gh Proposes that Britain should relinquish the mandate over Palestine and suggests as a compensation that an amity pact be concluded between Britain and the Palestine Arab state.—Trans-Ocean.
