Tokyo, Feb. 18.
Communist bandit, Wang Fu-sheng. has confessed to the kidnapping and murder of Father Gerald Donovan, American Catholic missionary in Manchoukuo, it was revealed to-day by a spokesman of the Foreign Office who quoted from official reports Mukden.
The reports disclosed that Father Donovan was strangled to death of January 21 because he could not maintain the pace of the fleeing bandits. He was suffering from chilblains in his feet and was unable te walk rapidly.
On February 10 Wang admitted that he had murdered Father Donovan and abandoned his body in the mountains north of Antung which is situated the border between Liaoning Province and Korea.
Acting on Wang's information, Japanese gendarmerie found the bod; the specified spot. Funeral sei vices were held at Fushan Cathol Church on Wednesday.—United Press.
