Debate on Colonial Claims Will Not Take Place London, Mar. 5.
The debate on Germany's colonial claims which was to have been broadcast by the B.B.C. on Friday, has been cancelled, it was announced to-day.
"The recent developments in the international situation," the announcer stated, "seem to render this debate, planned last November, inopportune at the present moment."
It is believed that the B.B.C. made this decision following the recent interview in Berlin between Herr Hitler and Sir Neville Henderson, British Ambassador to Germany, and also because of the conversations to be held here shortly between British statesmen and Herr Joachim von Ribbentrop, German Foreign Minister.
