A Japanese Good Samaritan on Tuesday had his reward. It was Tuesday that local Japanese newspapers reported his successful efforts to find the missing father of two Chinese boys he found in Nanking.
The same afternoon, press reports of his good deed helped him to reunite with his best friend whom he had not seen in five years, and who has been searching for the Good Samaritan since August.
A few days after the fall of Nanking, the "Shanghai Nippo" reported, soldiers of the Nishikawa Transport Corps found two boys weeping bitterly over the corpse of their mother in a dark alley.
The soldiers, struck by the grimness of the scene, took the boys with them to their billets, gave them food and lodging.
