A TRAINING plane of the Netherlands airlines K.L.M. crashed on the beach at Flushing on Saturday, killing the instructor and two students. The plane went out of control when landing and upon striking the ground immediately burst into flames. The numerous bathers on the beach were unable to rescue those trapped in the plane.

Instructions were sent on Thursday by the Ministry of Finance to the various Chinese Maritime Customs authorities requesting that import duties on iron, steel and other metals and on machinery be reduced by two-thirds, says a Chungking Chinese message to the "Sin Wan Pac." The revised import duties will be valid for a period of six months, effective as from June l, as a measure to encourage inland industrial development, the report states.
