Which reminds me of a story that nag, been going round (a true one) of a Society lady who had to go to a funeral and a garden party on the same day with no time to go home and change between the two. She Accordingly dressed: smartly but s0- berly, wore a mourning hat, and took to the church a gaily flowered one In a bandbox, which she stowed in the vestry, Then she took her place in church, silently congratulating her~ self on her dexterity, When the coffin was brought into the church, there was her hat on the top among the wreaths!
