The Peiping Police Bureau has issued orders to its substations in the suburbs of Peiping concerning the issue of residence certificates to people living in those areas.
Everyone between 15 and 69 years: of age will be entitled to one certificate, but none will be issued to for= igners or to those who stay in pub: lig buildings, who tive in schools or stayin hotels and inns.
'Those who possess such certificates but who do not carry them for inspection' will be liable to imprisonment Or "a fine of not more than $10. Duplicate certificates maybe. had upon payment of 10 cents. These certificates are not transferable and. those who disregard this ruling wilt bbe severely dealt with.
