Dublin, July 19.
Corrigan left New York on Sunday in the same 1936 model plane worth about $800 in which he had previously flown across the American continent in 17 hours, 50 minutes.
Corrigan declared that his only direction finder was his wrist watch.
Featuring the flight as one of the most remarkable achievements in aviation, the press points out that this crossing cost an average of $.6 cents per sea mile, whereas the round-the-world flight of Hughes had cost $19.20.—Trans-Ocean.
