Shanghai Americans will bid farewell to Colonel Charles F. B. Price, Commanding Officer of the Fourth Regiment United States Marine Corps, and Mrs. Price at a party which wil be held on the Columbia Country Club on October 22; the function will include reception ana dinner, followed by music and dancing.
Col and Mrs, Price are returning very shortly to the United States after a three-year stay in Shanghai, during which time they have made themselves extremely popular, not only with the local American community, but with practically everyone with whom they have come into contact.
The party will be for members of the American Association, the United States Navy and the United States Marines Corps, both ladies and gentlemen; the latter will wear black ties.
It is expected that a very large and fully representative gathering will be present, and reservations, it is requested, should be made not later than noon on Thursday, October 20, with the Secretary of the American Chamber of Commerce, American Club, Foochow Road Following her work in "Three Blind Mice," "Always Goodbye" and "Gateway" for 20th Century-Fox, Binnie Barnes has been signed to a long-term contract by that company.
