The same tactics were necessary on the beat from No, 2 Buoy to the anchorage, and again those yachts which stood out on the starboard tack gained ground, Eileen rounding the mark boat first with Sun Lee and Daphne close behind. From this point there was little change in order, these three yachts completing the second round of the course and finishing close together in the order named. Dragonfly again showed much improve sailing qualities and came in fourth after catching Mignonette on the port tack which necessitated the latter to withdraw for an infringement of the Rules, The same yachts started dor the afternoon leg but conditions were slightly different, because by this time the tide had changed to slack and the ebb was already making down the shore. On this occasion Eileen and Sun Lee were rather left at the start and Daphne sailed over the line well ahead of the fleet followed by Zuleika and Catherine.
