Royal Navy Active

Stockholm, June 4.

Strong British naval units entered Rama Fjord, northern Norway, on Saturday and intensely bombarded the German-occupied ports of Mo, Hemnes, Berget and Nesne, according to Norwegian frontier reports today.

British naval guns also blasted the single highway skirting the fjord for 20 miles, Military observers here believed the British were attempting to cut the communications of German land forces with advanced troops at Bodo.

German planes fruitlessly attempted to drive the British fleet away from Rama Fjord, it was reported. The British have landed reinforcements in the Bodo region in Norway and the fighting in that region was described as "terrific."
