Have Been Bombed

Reich Radio Stations Off The Air for Two Hours London, June 4.

Allied air raids on leading German. cities were believed to have been carried out last night, informed quarters said today after pointing out that the Berlin, Hamburg, Stuttgart, Munich and Nuremburg radio stations were off the air for almost two hours before midnight: The "Evening Standard" said that it understood the Allies raided military objectives in various parts of Germany last night.

The closing down of radio stations in Germany without warning usually indicates Allied air activity, British observers said. British official quarters, they further stated, frequently have stated that retaliation would follow German raids on non-military objectives. Therefore, they added, appropriate reprisals for the raid on Paris are anticipated though the zero hour naturally is a secret—United Press.
