London, Oct. 26. A united front between British and French labour is bespoken by a decision just reached to establish a joint trade union committee representing the powerful French labour organization, Confederation Generale de Travail, and the British Trade Union Congress.
The committee will consist of seven members from each country, and will sit every month in London and Paris alternately.
A British trade union leader, in an interview with the "Daily Telegraph," said the decision meant that British and French working class organizations would present a united front against Hitlerism, "which is a negation of all that unfettered trade unionism of the two Democracies upholds."
The labour leaders of the two countries, he added, would be in constant touch on methods of prosecuting the war, virtually in the same way as political and military leaders had pooled their aims, resources, and tactics—Reuter.
