Newspaper Seller Held For Murder A newspaper vendor named Mo Kwei-tib was charged with murder in the First Special District Court yesterday in connection with the chopping to death of another newspaper vendor on March 21, 1939, in Foochow Road. He was remanded in custody for a week. Business rivalry was said to have been behind the crime, in which a prosperous Chinese newspaper vendor with contracts with several leading dailies was killed with a meat chopper. Six men were arrested and convicted of the crime long ago, and Mo is believed to be the last member of the gang.
