Mr. G. Herzel, local manager of the Hongkong & Shanghai Hotels, Yid, will leave Shanghai during the first week of January for Hongkong for a brief stay, after which he will return here for a few days prior to sailing for Europe on long leave. He Will be accompanied by Mrs. Herzel.
This well known hotel official came to Shanghai in 1931 to become asso-clated with the Hongkong & Shanghai hotels, Ltd., as accountant, becoming of accountant in 1935. In 1936 he appointed acting manager of company in Shanghai and later ame the chief executive for the moorn in Shanghai in the capacity Of local secretary and manager.
In 1932 Mr, Herzel was married in Shanghai to Miss Viola Cumming-MeNeilage, of Melbourne, Australia.
