Revenge Given as Motive Revenge was given as the reason for the crime committed at 12 noon yesterday in the French Concession when Mr. Tseu Sze-tching, 33 years of age, was shot dead by two Chinese gunmen at the corner of Route Voyron and Route Vallon, just a few steps from the French Park. Two Chinese children, aged 12 and 14, were also wounded by the assassins when the latter opened fire at the police, who attempted to stop them.
French Police investigations revealed that Mr, Tseu was leaving the King Kong Restaurant, where he had dined in company with friends, a Chinese woman and man, when he was attacked by the gunmen, who fired several shots at him. One of the bullets hit the victim in the head and he died immediately.
